• A needle

• Scissors (you can buddy up into a foursome and bring one pair between you)

• A few colours of DMC embroidery thread of your choosing and depending on what design you want to go with.

• A pen or some tailors’ chalk to draw up your design.

• Something to sew on: a denim jacket, shirt pocket, tote bag, hat, a patch of fabric - anything that could use a little creative touch.

This session is all about slowing down, making something by hand, meeting people and having a bit of fun.

No prior sewing experience is needed.

Jessie will demonstrate a few basic embroidery stitches and help participants create simple designs such as:

• your initials

• some lips

• a heart

• simple words or symbols

• It’s not a formal embroidery class

• It’s not needlepoint

• It’s not about perfection
